The reason is simple. A 30-minute call with a stranger about something structural in your company rarely produces what either of us came for. The work begins earlier than that, in writing.

03 WHAT FOLLOWS

If the structural gap is clear from the exchange, I will propose a call. If not, I will say so. Either way you will have something useful in writing.
